- Q1. Tell us the thing to listen out for in your Japanese debut single, “GO AWAY” Minzy: While being in an unrequited love, it’s a song that draws the COOL and strong sides of women and it feels as if it represents the feelings of women! It’s also the 1 last song we use during the encores of lives since everyone sings, dances and gets excited!
- Q2. 2NE1 put much effort into this music video but what are some of the highlights of the newly created Japanese Version? Minzy: I got to play with my lovely dog, Dougie, who was wearing the same coloured hat as me. I just want to give her the Best Actress Award. (laugh)
- Q3. In “GO AWAY”, the lyrics show a girl’s strength when dealing with unrequited love but for you girls, if you are experiencing unrequited love, what kind of behaviour or actions would you have? Minzy: I don’t have experience with love. (shy) I’m originally the type to not lay out my feelings so my mind and behaviour would probably be mixed. Something like, my brain would be like “GO AWAY” but my behaviour would be like “IT HURTS”.
- Q4. Since you mentioned it, for the coupling track of “IT HURTS”, what should we listen out for? Minzy: I think the lyrical content is something that you’d experience at least once as a woman so the aspect where you can relate to it?
- Q5. Of course when mentioning 2NE1, it’s about singing and performance but your unique fashion is also quite a hot topic so what is the style point for casual-wear? Minzy: I dress according to my mood. Boyish or cutesy, there’s really a variety!
- Q6. Now lastly, the first Japanese “YG Family Concert” will be held next year but please let us know of your eagerness. Minzy: I’m excited to create one stage with artists that have different characters to us.
